This is not a ranked “best of.” It is a working map of rooms that actually pour Thai craft (and a few honest imports) so you are not stuck with a 5% lager over ice when you wanted a tap. For bottles at a plastic table see Thai beer and spirits. For dates see Events.
Brewpubs with their own kit

Bang Na, Chatuchak, the river, Koh Kret: the rooms with their own kettles are spread across the city. A taxi to one brewpub is not a night in the others.
| Room | Area | Why it is on the list |
|---|---|---|
| 12 Plato Brewpub | Bang Na | Own kit since 2023. Same owners later opened Eight Days a Week in Ari. |
| United People’s Brewery | Chatuchak | Brewpub that pooled volume so several small brands could stay legal. |
| Isara Local Bar & Brewery | Near IconSiam | Own beer plus other locals. |
| ChitBeer / Chit Holes | Koh Kret + Bangkok rooms | The pilgrimage tap and the city holes. |
Neighbourhood rooms (summer 2026 shortlist)
Neighbourhood spread from their summer 2026 shortlist, not one soi:
- Charm Bar & Bistro (Sathorn) — local food, about 15 taps, lots of locals.
- Eight Days a Week HomeBar (Ari) — not on the BTS doorstep; worth the extra walk.
- Om’s Living Room (Sathorn) — local brewers, sitting-room scale.
- Haze (Chinatown) — usual home bar for Baan Bangkok hazies when they have no taproom of their own.
- Bao Cafe (Silom) — looks like a bright cafe; the taps are the reason it is on the shortlist.
- The Commons / Cloud 11 — extra location opened 2026; taps in a mall you can actually find.
Rooms open and close. If a door is dark, check the shortlist rather than this table.
Groups, not a single bar
Brewave is a bar-and-restaurant group with its own beer plus guests. As of August 2026 rooms still listed included Gaysorn Amarin, Ratchada, Expedition HQ, and Ari × Amazon Experience. Check before you trek.
Hobs (House of Beers) is a chain; they run import-forward seasons such as the 2026 World Beer Journey with Smiling Mad Dog. That is a different hobby from a Chit Hole.
How to use a taproom
No ice unless you ask. A pint is a pint. If the board is all imports, you are in a Hobs-shaped room; if it is Thai names you cannot pronounce, you are closer to the scene this page is for. Pay one bill. Do not treat the brewer as a tour guide unless they offer.
Silom vs Ari vs Chinatown

Silom/Sathorn is after-work: malls, MRT, rain you can hide from. Bao Cafe, Charm, Om’s Living Room, Bottle Rockets tap takeovers. Ari is a walk from the BTS and feels like a neighbourhood. Chinatown is SongCraft, Haze, and a night market you will eat at anyway. Bang Na is 12 Plato — plan the last train. Chatuchak is UPB on a market day, which is a different crowd than a Tuesday pint.
Do not do all four in one night. Pick a neighbourhood, screenshot the shortlist for the door that is still open, and eat. How to order if the table is Thai food first.
Ice-bucket lager still exists two doors down. That is not a failure of the room; it is the country. Thai beer and spirits.
A granite mortar is more use at home than a branded pint glass. Buy neither in the taproom.
A first night that does not require a thesis
If you have one evening: Silom MRT, eat, then Bao Cafe or a Bottle Rockets night if a takeover is on. If you have two: Ari for Eight Days a Week, then a Chit Hole if you still want Thai taps. If you have a weekend: Koh Kret for ChitBeer in daylight, SongCraft if it is in Chinatown, then stop. Do not collect stamps.
Import boards are not a failure. Hobs exists because Bangkok drinks the world. For Thai taps that are actually on tonight, use the events archive.
Taxi vs BTS: rain decides. Last train decides harder. Screenshot the map.
This is a neighbourhood map, not a brand essay. Cans and chain fridges: beer catalogue.
A Tuesday pint in Ari is a different night from a Saturday SongCraft crowd. Budget a sit-down meal either side of the taps — street som tam then a Chit Hole, or Bao Cafe then a river taxi. Do not stack Bang Na and Koh Kret on the same last-train plan. If the board is all imports, you found a Hobs-shaped room; enjoy it, then look for a Thai tap the next evening. Screenshot the last BTS before the fifth pour. Rain on Silom is a mall plan; rain in Ari is a Grab. Bring cash for small rooms. Last train still exists.
